ENGAGEMENT

ENGAGEMENT

AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT

Creating a customer for life begins with a guest’s first stay.

In-Room Entertainment (IRE) is highly valued by guests. Choosing to stay in an upscale, luxury hotel, guests expect their hotel experience to be special and exceptional. Likewise, their expectations for a superior IRE experience also trend up. Guests cite premium content and picture clarity as the most important feature for IRE, in addition to access to more channels.
*ADB 2016 In-Room Entertainment Preferences Results

IRE is effective because it reaches hotel guests directly. Advertising is delivered seamlessly while guests are engaging with content in both video and print. This curated environment removes the inundation of advertising messages from outside their rooms.

LivingTV is set as the default channel on the in-room TV and is activated before guests check in to their room, assuring programming is seen.

The Living print publication is strategically placed in each room and is the only local Hawaiʻi publication available in room for guests. Each issue of Living is also mailed to Halekulani's preferred guests and other select recipients.

Halekulani’s rooms and suites range from $510–$8,000 per night. This means Living content and advertising reaches the highest income travelers on Oahu.

“Our store manager is getting new clients—guests of the hotel that go every year that did not know there was a Georg Jensen store until they saw our video. Our new collection launched last week and it is performing well the first week out … Our sales at the Halekulani have been running up 10-20% to budget since we began our media campaign! It's all very exciting and I wish for much-continued success.”
