Chinatown Now EMULSION Release Party
Chinatown Now was NMG Network’s first publication. What started as a monthly newspaper has become a biannual booklet complete with a map and guide section. With the release of its sixth issue, ‘Emulsion,’ NMG Network celebrated with different events and activations across the Chinatown neighborhood for one night.
In4mation Nu‘uanu held a photo exhibit showcasing a feature story in the issue about the history of skateboarding in Honolulu, as well as released a limited series of Chinatown Now x In4mation shirts. Across the street at Proof Public House, an APB skate demo was held. Hotel Street was closed off to traffic for the night, which provided the stage for music, drinks, and live art by Tommy Hite. These were just three of the several activations held across the neighborhood in celebration of Chinatown Now’s release. It was a great night and a great issue, and we look forward to many more.
