Living, by Halekulani, is the official in-room brand for Halekulani and Halepuna Waikiki. NMG publishes Living and produces Living TV, designed to complement the resorts’ understated elegance with content focused on the art of living well. Each issue of Living is published tri-annually and is placed in all guest rooms and suites of Halekulani and Halepuna, and is mailed to preferred guests and other select recipients.

PALM is a custom publication for residents of the luxury condominiums by Hawai‘i developers The MacNaughton Group and Kobayashi Group—the first book of its kind in the state of Hawai‘i. Each issue of PALM is delivered directly to residents and buyers of properties including: One Ala Moana, Hokua, Park Lane, and Capitol Place.
Published tri-annually, PALM explores the relaxed, world-class way of life that is available at the residences, defined by anticipatory service, resort-like amenities, an intense pride of work, and Hawai‘i style and comfort. Lei is a Hawai‘i lifestyle and travel brand for the LGBTQ community. An annual publication, Lei showcases what makes Hawai‘i the most beautiful, culturally rich, and welcoming destination in the world and offers ongoing content through its online channels.
Lei debuted nationally in May 2014 with distribution through direct mail to LGBTQ leisure travelers in Hawai‘i’s primary source markets across the country and select LGBTQ-friendly venues and hotels across the state of Hawai‘i.
Hawaii Opera Theater
The program book for Hawaii Opera Theatre, Aria reaches the most desirable audience in Hawai‘i, the affluent and engaged. The publication offers an effective vehicle to reach thousands of arts and cultural enthusiasts and the demographic with the highest household income in the state.
International Market Place
Launched in 2017, Banyan is the modern take on the shopping center publication, with a social media-themed design and youthful, stylish photography. Banyan supports the tenants of International Market Place, the famed Waikīkī shopping plaza. Published twice per year, Banyan showcases the variety of retail, food, and beverage venues available to guests while providing a historical perspective on the storied venue.

Your Guide to Honolulu's Basement
Chinatown is a bi-annual creative outlet connecting the community with the historic Honolulu arts district. Chinatown reaches a broad audience, from local musicians and artists to multi-national business leaders.
A limited run of copies is distributed throughout Chinatown and surrounding areas.
In The Seat of a Stranger's Car
In the Seat of a Stranger’s Car is the debut publication of renowned local writer and former FLUX contributor, Beau Flemister. Set in the bubbling ethnic melting pot of Hawai’i, by day, the pseudo-intellectual protagonist is a struggling writer who teaches at a renowned prep school. By night, he is a full-time valet, surrounded by a lewd yet lovable cast of coworkers who challenge his misplaced sense of entitlement.
Juggling jobs and a budding romance with a late-night flowergirl, the narrator finds himself on a journey around the island but ends up on a new odyssey entirely where he unearths something much more meaningful in the process: himself.
The Magazine for Mokulele Airlines
Hopper is the custom in-flight magazine for Mokulele Airlines, Hawai‘i’s favorite island hopper. The tri-annual magazine is engaging and experiential, full of adventurous editorial featuring each of the islands to which Mokulele Airlines flies.
Mokulele Airlines serves 10 Hawai‘i destinations with more than 120 daily flights. Mokulele offers access to the less traveled, less crowded destinations that have made Hawai‘i one of the world’s premier travel destinations.
Kīkaha served as the custom in-flight magazine for Island Air. This quarterly magazine featured fresh content about Island Air destinations. Youthful and sophisticated, Kīkaha showcased current events and activities alongside features on local artists and craftspeople, covering a broad range of topics for the airline’s diverse passengers.
Working with Kamehameha Schools, NMG designed a quarterly publication reflective of the flourishing urban community from which it was crafted, Our Kaka‘ako. Thoughtfully written and designed, Foundry brought together a growing community of artists and artisans and focuses on a lifestyle of intent and innovation.
The mission of innov8 was to provide visitors with a genuine experience by highlighting the beauty of Hawai‘i and imparting knowledge about Hawai‘i’s unique culture.
As the exclusive in-flight magazine for go! Airlines from July 2009 through March 2014, innov8 reached 1.5 million passengers annually.
Spring 2015 – Spring 2016
NMG helped develop the design and launch this Forward Journal in 2015 and published it until Spring 2016. With its oversized format, stunning imagery, sharp design, and insightful editorial, Forward Journal for The Howard Hughes Corporation was a curated exploration of the people shaping the company’s Ward Village master-planned community in the heart of Honolulu. With a focus on innovative entrepreneurs, inspired design, and community stewards, the quarterly lifestyle publication reflected a thoughtful neighborhood grounded in its past but passionate about its future.
