NMG + Kimpton Hotels Portland
Nella Media Group (NMG) today announced in Spring 2018 it will launch an entirely new media partnership with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in Portland, Oregon. The innovative program represents a significant development for NMG as its first hotel distribution partnership in the continental U.S. NMG will develop and publish custom media channels for the hotelier’s three properties in the area. The channels will offer guests multi-media editorial content alongside advertising and native content marketing opportunities for clients. Kimpton Portland will promote the channels to hotel guests through a variety of programs: pre-arrival welcome emails, social media, a custom microsite, direct mail and in-room distribution.
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants operates three boutique hotel properties in the Portland area: Kimpton Hotel Monaco Portland, Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel, and Kimpton Hotel Vintage Portland, along with food and beverage establishments Red Star Tavern, Three Degrees, Bacchus Bar and Pazzo Ristorante.
NMG recently announced the acquisition of a video distribution company and the development of NMG Network, a multi-channel media distribution system including online, cable, and in-room television. With the development of the NMG Network the company is enhancing service opportunities for partners with increased visibility to pre-arrival, in-room hotel, and luxury residential audiences. NMG is currently working to integrate its video network with each of its travel partners.
“Now more than ever, high-quality content is essential for us to promote city tourism and our hotels,” said Tim Hammer, the director of sales for Kimpton Hotel Monaco Portland and Kimpton RiverPlace Hotel. “The caliber of media that NMG creates, and the channels through which we can deliver them, make this a very exciting partnership for us to offer even more customized, relevant content to our guests and clients.”
“We couldn’t be more excited about this new partnership with the Kimpton Portland hotels and the expansion of our hotel distribution program in the continental U.S.,” said Jason Cutinella, NMG CEO. “This move has been a long time coming, and we needed to ensure it was the right time and most importantly with the right partner. Our vision is to become the most focused travel media company in the Pacific Region and beyond, and we are very excited about the opportunity to work with hotels that are part of such an outstanding and innovative hospitality company,” he continued.
