Nella Media Group Honored with Two Maggie Awards, 19 Awards at the Pele ADDY Awards Show, Including “Best in Show” Honors, and Advances to AAF Nationals

Nella Media Group today announced it was the recipient of two Maggie Awards, after being nominated for eight, at the publishing industry’s most prestigious event in the western U.S., held last weekend in Los Angeles by the Western Publishing Association. NMG was fresh off a big win from the American Advertising Federation District 13 awards ceremony in Honolulu, held on April 23, receiving a total of 19 awards including the show’s top honors of Best in Show – Design for Lei magazine.

NMG was awarded three Pele Gold Regional ADDY awards for its RESERVE in-room publication and Lei magazine—both of which went on to represent Hawaii’s publishing industry in the national American Advertising Awards, the world’s largest advertising competition—as well as 12 silver and three bronze Pele Awards. Lei has been selected as a finalist in the national competition to be held on June 7, in Anaheim.

Maggie Awards

Lei, an annual, nationally distributed LGBT travel publication received the Maggie Award for “Visitor’s Guides” in the “Circulation Under 75,000 Consumer” category.

FLUX Hawaii, a quarterly, nationally distributed travel and lifestyle publication received the Maggie Award for “Best Series of Editorial Photographs” in the “Trade & Consumer” category.

Pele Regional ADDY Awards

Reserve, a semi-annual, in-room, luxury publication produced for 17 premier Hawaii hotels and resorts, received the 2016 Pele Gold Regional ADDY in the “Publication Design – Book Design” category.

Lei was awarded the 2016 Pele Gold Regional ADDY awards in the “Travel & Tourism – Entire Magazine Design” and “Publication Design – Entire Magazine Design” categories for its second annual issue.

Lei has been selected as a finalist in the national American Advertising Awards competition, the winners of which will be announced at the ceremony on June 7, at Disneyland Resort.
